KEY INFORMATION

DAY 1 – Arrival in British Columbia & Transfer to Revelstoke

Welcome to Western Canada. Upon independent arrival at Kelowna International Airport (YLW), you’ll meet the Forever crew and load up the van for the start of our journey along the Powder Highway. We’ll beginheading north, stopping for the night along the way. Expect scenic mountain roads, frozen lakes, and the first taste of BC’s winter magic. Overnight on the road to Revelstoke.

DAY 2 – Revelstoke: Big Lines, Deep Snow

We kick off the trip in style with a full day riding Revelstoke, one of North America’s most iconic freeride destinations. With a vertical drop of over 1,700 meters, deep glades, and high-alpine bowls, Revelstoke is intense, beautiful, and guaranteed to leave a mark. Overnight in Revelstoke.

DAY 3 – Rogers Pass: The Backcountry Classic

Today we head into the legendary Rogers Pass, deep in the Selkirk Mountains. Known as the holy grail of Canadian backcountry, we’ll earn our turns through long skin tracks and descend into untouched linessurrounded by towering peaks. Overnight in Revelstoke.

DAY 4 – Road Trip to Nelson

We continue our road trip deeper into the Powder Highway, driving to Nelson, a town full of charm, soul, and mountain spirit. The journey itself is a highlight: snow-covered forests and winding roads through remote BC terrain. Overnight in Nelson.

DAY 5 – Whitewater: Playful, Deep, and Local

Just a few kilometers from Nelson lies Whitewater, a small resort with big character. Known for its consistent snowfall and playful terrain, it’s a favorite among locals for good reason. Expect steep trees, natural pillows, and good vibes. After riding, explore Nelson’s cool cafés, breweries, and laid-back scene. Overnight in Nelson.

DAY 6 – Ride, Rest or Explore

Today is yours to shape. Ride Whitewater again, take a mid-week rest, explore Nelson’s downtown, visit nearby hot springs, or recharge with great food and relaxed vibes. Overnight near Red Mountain.

DAY 7 – Red Mountain Resort

Enjoy an unforgettable day riding at Red Mountain Resort. The terrain here is incredibly varied – from steep tree chutes to super-fun pillow lines – offering endless options for every rider.Alternatively, on request, you can book a thrilling day of catskiing with Big Red Cats. Overnight near Red Mountain.

DAY 8 – Red Mountain to Big White: Two Legends, One Day

Start the day riding at Red Mountain, one of BC’s oldest and most rugged resorts. We’ll explore steep faces, trees, and backside descents before making the final transfer to Big White, our last stop. Overnight in Big White.

DAY 9 – Big White: Champagne Powder Finale

We close the tour in Big White, known for its famous “champagne powder,” massive terrain, and vibrant village. From wide groomers to deep tree zones, Big White has it all: the perfect place to end a week-long powder mission. Overnight in Big White.

DAY 10 – Departure

Enjoy a slow morning exploring the snowy village or grabbing a final coffee before transferring to Kelowna Airport (YLW) for your return flight. Expect tired legs, full hearts, and unforgettable memories from the Powder Highway. Independent departure from Kelowna.

Fly into Kelowna International Airport (YLW), the launchpad for British Columbia’s legendary Powder Highway. From there, we hit the road — winding through frozen lakes, conifer-covered ridgelines, and some of the snowiest terrain on Earth. By the time we reach our first mountain base, you’ll feel it in your bones: this isn’t just a ski trip. It’s a rite of passage through the deep north.

Intermediate to Advanced

From confident riders looking to progress to seasoned freeriders chasing big lines, this trip adapts to your level. Expect everything from moderate slopes to steep faces, deep powder, and technical terrain — always guided by experienced professionals. Solid fitness and avalanche gear are essential for unforgettable days in BC mountains.

British Columbia’s Powder Highway lives up to its name — this region gets absolutely dumped on. February is prime time, with consistent snowfall, cold temps, and dry, blower powder. Expect daytime temperatures between -10°C and -2°C (14–28°F), colder in the mornings or at elevation. Be prepared for mountain weather: fast-changing, occasionally brutal, and totally worth it. Layer up, stay dry, and keep your gear dialed: the next storm is probably already rolling in.

Snow & Conditions

Q: What level of ski/splitboard experience do I need?
A: This trip is designed for intermediate+ to advanced riders. You should be comfortable in deep powder and capable of hiking for several consecutive days. Some experience with ski touring or splitboarding is essential.

Q: What kind of terrain can I expect?
A: Expect a mix of gladed tree runs, alpine bowls, mellow meadows, and steeper objectives depending on the day and location. Each resort and touring area along the Powder Highway has its own unique flavor.

Q: Do I need to bring my own ski/board/avalanche gear?
A: Yes, bringing your own gear is strongly recommended for comfort and familiarity. Rentals are possible in some locations, but availability can be limited during peak season.

Q: Do I need an avalance backpack?
A: While not mandatory, an avalanche airbag backpack is highly recommended. You must carry a beacon, shovel, and probe at all times during any touring day.

Logistics

Q: How do I get to British Columbia?
A: Fly into Kelowna International Airport (YLW), the gateway to British Columbia’s interior. You’ll meet the Forever Snow crew there and begin your journey along the Powder Highway.

Q: How many people are in the group?
A: We keep it small, maximum 6 riders, to ensure a flexible, rider-focused experience and access to untracked terrain.

Q: Is this trip suitable for solo travelers?
A: Absolutely. Most of our guests join solo: it’s a great way to connect with like-minded powder seekers.

Life in on the Road

Q: What’s the accommodation like?
A: You’ll stay in clean, cozy lodges and inns along the route: nothing fancy, but always warm, welcoming, and ideally located for early starts and late returns from the mountain.

Q: What’s included in the food and drink?
A: No, meals are not included. This way, you have the freedoma to explore local pubs, burger joints, and small-town BC kitchens.

Q: Is there internet access?
A: Yes, most accommodations have reliable wifi. That said, don’t be surprised if some remote areas along the Highway have patchy signal.

Practicalities

Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is required, including coverage for backcountry skiing, outdoor activities, and medical evacuation.

Q: What’s the best time of year to go?
A: This trip is scheduled for prime Powder Highway season, typically between mid-January and early March, when British Columbia’s famed cold smoke powder is at its best.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION

A deposit is required to confirm your spot. Remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. If life happens and you need to change plans, cancellations made up to 60 days prior are eligible for a refund, depending on timing and conditions. Travel insurance covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and adventure activities is required.
